These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the RoomDrop mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”) operated by RoomDrop (“RoomDrop,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Use of the Service

RoomDrop provides a platform that connects users requesting deliveries with independent student runners who fulfill those deliveries. RoomDrop does not operate as a food provider, merchant, or delivery company. We facilitate coordination between users and runners.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not misuse the platform, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use RoomDrop. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Runner accounts may require additional approval, verification, and eligibility checks before being activated.

Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the platform or other users.

Orders and Deliveries

When you place an order, you are requesting a delivery service from a runner. Once a runner accepts your order, they are responsible for completing the delivery.

RoomDrop does not guarantee delivery times, availability of runners, or successful completion of any order. Delays may occur due to factors outside our control.

Users are responsible for providing accurate delivery details. If a delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect information or failure to meet the runner, the order may still be considered complete.

Delivery Preferences

Users may choose delivery options such as “leave at door” or “hand it to me.” If “hand it to me” is selected, the runner will wait a reasonable period for the user to receive the order. After that period, the runner may complete the delivery and leave the order.

Payments and Fees

All payments are processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe. By placing an order, you agree to pay all applicable fees associated with your request.

RoomDrop may charge service fees, delivery fees, or other charges, which will be displayed before checkout. All payments are final unless otherwise stated.

Refunds are not guaranteed and are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Runner Terms and Earnings

Runners are independent users of the platform and are not employees, agents, or representatives of RoomDrop. Runners choose when to accept deliveries and are responsible for completing them.

Earnings are paid per completed delivery and are made available through the app. Payouts may be subject to processing times, minimum thresholds, and third-party provider policies.

RoomDrop reserves the right to adjust payouts, incentives, or eligibility requirements at any time.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any behavior that harms the platform or other users. This includes fraudulent activity, harassment, abuse, impersonation, or misuse of the Service.

RoomDrop may investigate and take action, including suspension or termination, if prohibited conduct is detected.

Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, and technology associated with RoomDrop are owned by or licensed to RoomDrop. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use any part of the Service without prior written consent.

Third-Party Services

RoomDrop relies on third-party services for payments, messaging, and infrastructure. We are not responsible for the performance, policies, or actions of these third-party providers.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. RoomDrop makes no guarantees regarding availability, reliability, or accuracy.

We do not guarantee that deliveries will be completed without issues, and we are not responsible for the quality, safety, or condition of items delivered.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoomDrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid through the platform in the preceding 30 days.

Terms like these are standard in app agreements and help limit legal exposure in disputes. 

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RoomDrop and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if your use poses a risk to the platform or other users.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with California law. 

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
